Kenny Omega Sought Medical Attention After AEW Appearance

Kenny Omega is out of action in AEW indefinitely following news of a serious illness and now more has been reported on his condition.

There was plenty of concern in the wrestling world when Kenny Omega revealed he was suffering from diverticulitis and that the illness would keep him out of action in AEW indefinitely.

Now Fightful Select has given more insight into Omega’s condition and revealed that the former AEW World Champion felt ill before his bout with Ethan Page on the 9th of December edition of Collision but he’d kept his condition under wraps.

Kenny Omega Hospitalized Following AEW Dynamite

Things were said to have worsened by the following edition of Dynamite but Kenny Omega still attended the show believing he’d only be needed in a backstage capacity. Instead, Omega and Chris Jericho went to the ring for a promo segment with Big Bill and Ricky Starks to set up an AEW World Tag Team Championship match at Worlds End.

Immediately after that show, Omega sought medical advice, and on the following day, he was hospitalized. That is when the diverticulitis diagnosis came to light.

No confirmation on the Worlds End match has been given as of yet but it is believed Omega will have to miss that show. In addition, it is believed there were tentative plans to have Kenny Omega wrestle on Dynamite in Oklahoma City but these have been scrapped.
