Kenny Omega has blasted “embarrassing and shameful” fans who have criticised Jade Cargill’s decision to sign with WWE.
After weeks of speculation, WWE announced that Jade Cargill had joined the company with a multi-year deal and would report to the Performance Centre imminently.
While the former TBS Champion received congratulations from many in AEW, there was also a backlash from some fans of the promotion who didn’t like the star’s decision to make the move.
Now, one of AEW’s EVPs, Kenny Omega, has accused those who have been critical of being “embarrassing.” He also explained that wrestlers themselves tend to be genuinely happy for stars who move between companies.
“This may be news to a lot of fans out there, but when one wrestler goes from one company to another, we tend to always wish them the best and cheer for them while they embark on their new journey. Genuinely.
“It’s embarrassing and shameful that some fans aren’t capable of the same.”

Jade Cargill had no second thoughts about joining WWE
Cargill has recently spoken on The Ringer’s Masked Man Show, about her decision to leave AEW for WWE, saying it was a “no brainer” as their are endless opportunities for her in the promotion.
“The opportunities are endless with this company. It was a no brainer. It was very welcoming. I didn’t have any second thoughts about it at all. It was an easy choice. It wasn’t easy, but it was easy.”
During the same interview, the star admitted that she didn’t see where she fit in when it came to AEW and wanted to take a different route.
“I wouldn’t say it’s a ceiling. I would just say that the route I wanted to take was different and the route I wanted to embark on was different. I didn’t see, over there, where I could fit it. The only way I could do it was coming to the WWE Universe. I bet on myself and I made the best decision coming here.”
