Kazuchika Okada Set For First AEW Title Match

Kazuchika Okada is no stranger to a championship and now he’s in AEW it seems nothing has changed in his thirst for gold.

The wrestling world was rocked when Kazuchika Okada revealed that he was quitting NJPW as he looked towards the next stage of his career.

Rumours suggested he could be set for a switch to WWE but ultimately The Rainmaker made his debut as part of the AEW roster on the 6th of March. Okada marched to the ring with The Young Bucks set to attack Eddie Kingston and after initially standing with Kingston, he showed his true intentions as he floored the Continental Crown Champion with a Rainmaker. The Young Bucks then revealed that Kazuchika Okada was now the newest member of The Elite.

Kazuchika Okada Gunning For AEW Title

On the 9th of March edition of Collision Okada had his first match as part of the AEW roster alongside The Young Bucks and on Dynamite Big Business, The Elite were in action again. Okada and The Bucks defeated Eddie Kingston, PAC, and Penta El Zero Miedo and now The Rainmaker has a bigger prize in his sights.

AEW confirmed that the 20th of March edition of Dynamite will see Kazuchika Okada challenge Eddie Kingston for the Continental Championship. A stacked edition of Dynamite in Toronto, Ontario, Canada will also see Adam Copeland battle Christian Cage in an I Quit match for the TNT Championship.
