Kazuchika Okada Closing In On AEW Debut
Kazuchika Okada is AEW-bound.
After his deal with New Japan Pro-Wrestling expired, Kazuchika Okada became one of the most in-demand free agents in the world. However, it seems he won’t be a free agent for much longer.
According to a new report from Fightful Select, Okada could debut with AEW within days. The report notes that March is set to be a big month for AEW with Will Ospreay linking up with the company at Revolution, Mercedes Mone’s expected debut on March 13th, and other presentation changes.
Furthermore, the promotion is “tentatively planning” to have Okada “in the fold” by Dynamite on March 6th.
On the Revolution media call, AEW boss Tony Khan said he’s very excited about something coming in Atlanta — where Dynamite is set to be held. Fightful adds there’s been “plenty of discussion” about Okada debuting on the show, and numerous sources stated that the hope as of mid-February was for the star to be with the company by then.
