Kayla Braxton Gives Real Reason For WWE Exit
Kayla Braxton has explained why she chose to leave WWE even though she had time left on her contract.
It was in late June 2024 when former WWE announcer Kayla Braxton announced that she was leaving the company.
While there were rumors that Braxton could be signing with AEW after leaving WWE, Braxton quickly shot those rumors down by saying: “If I wanted to keep working in wrestling, I wouldn’t be walking away from the largest wrestling company in the world.”
Since departing WWE, Braxton has updated fans on social media by noting she has focused on her acting career.
Kayla Braxton Walked Away Due To Doing Everything She Could Do In WWE
In an interview with WWE Hall of Famers Nikki Garcia & Brie Garcia (aka The Bella Twins) on the Nikki & Brie Show, Braxton spoke about why she decided to leave after eight years in WWE.
“I was under contract. Announcers, we operate very differently. I just realized, within myself, after eight years; I’ve done everything I can do here. You know how the schedule is at WWE.”
“It’s very hard to (accomplish) anything else you want to do. I just felt like I was starting to miss out on opportunities outside of the company. I wasn’t doing much anymore at my former position.”
“I just had to make the decision, not knowing necessarily what I was about to do in that moment, but I had to walk away. It was all amicable, I just knew it was time for me to peace out.”
During her WWE run, Braxton worked mostly on the Smackdown brand while also hosting Kickoff shows for WWE PLE shows, she hosted The Bump and many other things as well.
