Kairi Sane Blamed For Causing Serious Injury Of WWE Star

Ex-WWE star feels Kairi Sane is somewhat responsible for Zoey Stark’s injury.

Zoey Stark suffered a severe knee injury on the May 19, 2025, episode of WWE Raw during a triple threat Money in the Bank qualifier match against Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane.

She tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus after landing awkwardly on her right knee while attempting a springboard missile dropkick on Sane.

Officials halted the match midway, carried her backstage, and she underwent surgery shortly after.

Kairi Sane May Have Accidentally Caused Zoey Stark’s Injury

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Maven Huffman partially blamed Kairi Sane for Starks’ injury. He explained that Sane should’ve positioned herself correctly to avoid this mishap.

Maven added that Kairi was too far from Zoey, which is why she had to cover more distance while executing the dropkick, and that led her to land awkwardly and sustain an injury.

I actually place a little bit of blame here on Kairi Sane. I don’t think she was in the right position. Whether it was a springboard super kick or a springboard missile drop kick, she needs to be a whole hell of a lot closer to the center of that ring.
So, she’s not asking her competitor to cover as much distance in midair. I wish Zoey Stark nothing but the best in her recovery and rehabilitation process.

Stark hasn’t returned to action yet, but she is expected to make her return in mid-2026. It was also reported that WWE will push her as a babyface upon her return.
