Josh Alexander Wants Match With Former WWE Champion

Josh Alexander

Josh Alexander dreams of having a match against “Mr. TNA” AJ Styles.

Alexander reigned as IMPACT World Champion for the majority of 2022 and the start of 2023, relinquishing the title due to injury after nearly a year at the top. Now firmly a member of the IMPACT main event scene, the former champion wants to face off against the phenomenal wrestler who helped to put TNA on the map.

Speaking with Sportskeeda, Alexander discussed what it would mean to him to have the two eras of IMPACT collide:

“I’ve said it time and time again. I think the matchup that would really garner some attention from the pro wrestling world and make me the happiest is to have Mr. TNA who I think it’s AJ Styles, the first person anybody thinks of when they think of TNA, against you know me, the Impact Wrestling guy for the last four years. the face of the company now, so just having the two faces from the two different eras face off one-on-one I think that’d be something special.”

Josh Alexander Prasies AJ Styles

The Walking Weapon has a lot of admiration for The Phenomenal One, who would go on to win championships in New Japan before finding his home in WWE in 2016, making the surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble. Presented as a top performer right from the beginning, Styles would go on to win the WWE Championship on two separate occasions.

Styles looked set to team with previous rival John Cena at Fastlane to handle a Bloodline problem but was taken out by Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa.
