Why Jon Moxley’s AEW Deal Means Bad News For Locker Room

Jon Moxley AEW

Jon Moxley is looking to reshape AEW in his own violent image and it seems his current contract could bring more heartbreak for the rest of the locker room.

Jon Moxley won the AEW World Championship from Bryan Danielson at WrestleDream bringing the full-time career of the American Dragon to an end in the process.

Moxley had turned the Blackpool Combat Club against Danielson with a vicious attack and the star is hell-bent on reshaping AEW expressing his anger with what the company has become and what the AEW World Title belt he now holds represents.

The BCC have gone on wild assaults both in the ring and backstage in recent weeks, taking the fight to anyone they come across. The Elite have backed down from squaring off with the dangerous group and one shining AEW star has ruled out leading a rebellion against Moxley and crew.

And the bad news for the AEW locker room is Jon Moxley isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Jon Moxley With AEW For Years To Come

Fightful Select has noted that Jon Moxley is under contract with AEW at least until 2027. The AEW World Champion is said to have signed a new five-year deal with the company in 2022 after working for months without an official deal after All Out that year.

Daniel Garcia has been vocal in the fight against the Blackpool Combat Club and he too recently inked a new deal with Tony Khan’s company that saw him return to TV and issue a warning to every champion in AEW.
