Jon Moxley Gives His Opinion On “Hangman” Adam Page
The AEW World Champion Jon Moxley has opened up about what he thinks about “Hangman” Adam Page.
When Jon Moxley defends the AEW World Title on the October 18th edition of Dynamite, he will do so in his hometown of Cincinnati. The man standing across from Moxley will be a former AEW World and Tag Team Champion, “Hangman” Adam Page.
Moxley won the AEW World Title for the third time at the Dynamite Grand Slam episode on September 21st. At the Rampage that followed, Page won a battle royal to earn a World Title match.
Since the Moxley-Page showdown was announced, the two men have exchanged words with Moxley calling the younger Page a “boy” while Page made it clear to Moxley that he’s a dangerous man to be in the ring with.
During an interview on the Cincy 3:60 podcast, Moxley gave his thoughts on Hangman.
“Yeah, I mean, I don’t think anyone hates ‘Hangman’ Adam Page. He’s a good dude, and he’s been a great champion. He’s an incredible athlete. I have a lot of respect for him, but like I’ve said many times, when the bell rings I don’t really have respect for anybody. … I am going to win by any means necessary. With that being said, I do have a lot of respect for my opponent.”
Moxley also referenced his All Out match where he lost to CM Punk’s hometown of Chicago. This time, Moxley will be in his hometown of Cincinnati when Page challenges him for the AEW World Title.
“In a Chicago situation like that, I actually love that. I had an absolute ball in Chicago being public enemy No. 1. I feel like Hangman Page might be in a similar situation [tonight]. Hopefully for him, he thrives in that situation as much.”
