Jon Moxley Laughs Off Questions About CM Punk’s WWE Return

Jon Moxley stares down CM Punk AEW Dynamite 2022

Jon Moxley gave a typically Jon Moxley answer when asked about CM Punk returning to WWE.

Moxley and Punk are no strangers to each other having worked together in both WWE and AEW. Their final in-ring clash came at All Out 2022, just minutes before Punk embarked on arguably the most talked-about wrestling press conference appearance in history.

Their 2022 was mired in controversy with rumours of bad feeling and suggestions Moxley had refused to lose to Punk — something he denies. While Punk often seems to revel in the chaos that comes with being part of the wrestling world, Jon Moxley famously hit out at the “bullsh*t drama” that surrounded AEW.

Despite Punk gone from AEW and back with WWE, Moxley still has little to say about his former rival. When asked in a new interview with Liam Crowley of Comicbook about Punk’s return promo on Raw, Moxley laughed off the question.

“You don’t want to know what I think. I didn’t see it, you do not want to know what I think (laughs).”

Jon Moxley Reflects On “Real Joy” Of Wrestling Mark Briscoe

When turning his attention to the Continental Classic, Moxley was in a much more talkative mood. The star is currently standing tall at the top of the Gold League after earning a win over Mark Briscoe. Looking back at the match, Moxley recalled the joy of getting in the ring with the ROH legend.

“Just the joy of going to the ring with a guy who’s been doing it for over 20 years who’s a total pro and just going out there with no stress, not having to talk a bunch or anything, and just go into the ring and letting a match happen,”

Moxley pointed to the tournament’s ability to create fresh matches. “It was a rare thing to be able to do that. It is a real joy. It was in a great city like Chicago, too. So far it’s been just a really enjoyable experience for me.”

Moxley will be back in tournament action on November 29th when he meets Jay Lethal.
