Jon Moxley Doing Fine Despite Injury Scare
Jon Moxley is still going strong.
At Worlds End, Jon Moxley put the AEW World Title on the line against Jay White, Hangman Adam Page, and Orange Cassidy with Christian Cage and The Patriarchy watching on from a suite high in the arena.
Unsurprisingly, the match was a chaotic affair but through the madness, it was Moxley who emerged victorious thanks in large part to the helping hands of Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta, and Marina Shafir.
After the match, the Death Riders were surprised by the return of Adam Copeland, who arrived at the top of the ramp alongside FTR. The trio then rushed the ring before Copeland was left one-on-one with Moxley.
The WWE Hall of Famer hit Moxley with a Spear before locking in a cross-face with a piece of steel chair. The champion was eventually saved by Claudio Castagnoli who dragged him to safety.
Jon Moxley Emerges Unscathed
During the match, Page, Cassidy, and White briefly joined forces to Powerbomb Moxley through the announce table, and the champion was left bleeding significantly from the back of his head. The nasty-looking injury caused concern among fans, but it seems things aren’t as bad as first feared.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Daily Update, Dave Meltzer noted that Moxley is fine despite the unfortunate incident.
Jon Moxley was said to be ok after the show.
Next up for the Death Riders is a clash with FTR and Adam Copeland at Dynamite Fight For The Fallen on January 1st. Moxley will then send Claudio Castagnoli to Japan to face Shota Umino at Wrestle Dynasty at the Tokyo Dome.
