Huge Jon Moxley Match Confirmed For AEW Double Or Nothing

Jon Moxley promo on AEW Dynamite

The challengers keep on coming for AEW’s Jon Moxley.

Since defeating Tetsuya Naito at NJPW Windy City, Jon Moxley has been walking around with an IWGP World Heavyweight Title-shaped target on his back. Despite winning the gold a little over a month ago, Moxley has already defended it three times, and his schedule isn’t going to get any easier.

In a new post on social media, Tony Khan announced that Moxley will face Konosuke Takeshita in a World Title Eliminator match at Double or Nothing on May 26th.

The stipulation means that if Takeshita wins, he’ll receive a shot at Moxley’s World Title.

Jon Moxley Proud To Take Unusual Path To Wrestling History

With his victory over Naito, Moxley became the first man to hold the World Championship in AEW, WWE, and NJPW. And perhaps even more importantly to the man himself, he’s reached the top of the wrestling mountain on his own terms.

Speaking in a recent interview, Jon Moxley explained why he’s so proud of the fact it’s difficult to compare him to other greats from years gone by.

“You have no idea where to classify me, but you can’t ignore me, so you’re going to have to give me my own space. I like that.”

It’s also been announced that Jon Moxley will put his IWGP World Heavyweight Championship on the line at NJPW Dominion on June 9th in Osaka.
