Johnny Gargano Dishes “Real Talk” On DIY Reunion

Johnny Gargano has spoken candidly following his return to WWE Raw.

The main event of the 2nd of October edition of Monday Night Raw saw GUNTHER put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against Tommaso Ciampa. The match was typically hard-hitting and at times brutal but after twenty minutes, GUNTHER dropped his challenger with two powerbombs before putting him to sleep to retain his gold.

However, things were far from over as GUNTHER left with his title, and his Imperium underlings Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci circled Ciampa. They assaulted the former NXT Champion before Johnny Gargano ran to the ring to make the save for his former tag team partner.

Taking to social media following his return, Johnny Gargano noted that he’s seen the support and excitement for a possible reunion between him and Ciampa and has felt exactly the same:

“Real talk. I saw ALL your theories and hopes for #DIY these past 6 months. From dream matches to just genuinely wanting us back.. I know how excited y’all are. We are, too. Thanks for believing and holding out hope for us, and now that it’s finally time.. let’s freaking kill it!”

When did Johnny Gargano last appear on WWE Raw?

Before his return on Monday night, Gargano’s last match on WWE Raw happened on May 15th when he was part of a battle royal to determine the new number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship which was won by Mustafa Ali.

His last one-on-one bout on the red brand came two months before on the 20th of March when he lost to Dominik Mysterio.
