John Morrison Makes Big Impact In AEW Return
Former WWE star John Morrison has returned to AEW and this time around it looks like he is in for a longer stint in the company.
The star debuted for AEW in May 2022 when he was part of the first Owen Hart Foundation Tournament, losing to Samoa Joe in the first round under the name Johnny Elite. He wrestled two more bouts for the company, defeating Marq Quen on Dark and losing to Miro in one of the Bulgarian’s four matches in 2022.
Now John Morrison is back after more than a year away from AEW as he re-debuted on Rampage with the commentators referring to the former Intercontinental Champion as Johnny TV.

The star was part of a segment that saw The Acclaimed and Daddy Ass confronted by QTV. Harley Cameron was barking up the wrong tree as she thought Anthony Bowens was into her before QT Marshall and Aaron Solo lured Bowens and Max Caster from the ring.
That left Daddy Ass Billy Gunn in the ring with two masked men before one of them revealed themselves to be Johnny TV. TV laid out Gunn with a super kick before Marshall and Solo attacked the former AEW Tag Team Champions. The group celebrated in the ring together, leaving fans wondering what Johnny TV’s association with QTV is and crucially, who was the other masked figure.
