John Cena has had a lot of spectacular entrances in his WWE career, but the one at WrestleMania 39 may have been the coolest of them all.

At WrestleMania 39, John Cena challenged Austin Theory in a match for the US Title. While it looked like Cena might have got the win, there was a referee bump and then Theory hit a low blow leading to the pinfall.

While the 16-time WWE World Champion John Cena may have lost that match, he stole the show in another way because as part of his entrance at WrestleMania 39, he was joined on the stage by several Make-A-Wish that got to live a dream by making an entrance with their hero Cena.

All WWE fans know about John Cena’s accomplishments in the ring during his 20+ year career, but they also know about his incredible work with the Make-A-Wish foundation.

In 2022, Cena reached over 650 Make-A-Wish wishes and Make-A-Wish also issued a statement saying that “John Cena is the most requested celebrity — and that no one, except for Cena, has ever granted more than 200 wishes in the foundation’s history.”

During an appearance on the Today Show on NBC, John Cena revealed that it was WWE’s idea to have the Make-A-Wish kids on the stage with him during his entrance.

“The hope of fulfilling gratitude. Any good, warm thing that makes you feel great. This year, at WrestleMania, we got to give 15 or 20 Make-A-Wish kids a WrestleMania entrance in front of 80,000 people. Normally, the entrance is something you do by yourself, but WWE had the idea to give the Make-A-Wish kids the moment and the perspective that very few get to see. I was all on board, and it was great.”

John Cena also recently revealed that he made a promise to Ric Flair with regard to the incredible championship record that they share.
