John Cena Gives An Update About His Next WWE Plans
John Cena has only eight appearances left before he retires as an active pro-wrestler.
In his recent conquest, The Champ defeated Logan Paul at Clash in Paris. During the match, he paid homage to AJ Styles by using The Phenomenal One’s Styles Clash on The Maverick.
He revealed that while he cannot battle everyone who has made an impact on his career, one of the ways he can acknowledge it is by using their signature moves in his matches.
John Cena reveals his next plans in WWE
During the post-show Clash in Paris, The Leader of Cenation was asked about ‘what’s next?’ in the remainder of his Farewell Tour.
John Cena reiterated that he does not handpick his opponents, but mostly takes an open challenge approach. In fact, one of the reasons why Logan Paul was his opponent at Clash in Paris is that The Maverick stepped up to the opportunity.
I think that’s the question that I have always been asked. Like everyone knows, I don’t pick opponents. Like, I am at my best when open-challenged. Like, wow, this is the revitalization of John Cena. I always want to be a platform for people to give their best.
What’s next? I’m going to Chicago, and that’s where I had my first match at. That’s the place I have had a lot of memorable moments at. I am just excited about heading back and see what they deal out. We will go and see what happens.
With only eight appearances left, fans can expect WWE to revive his rivalry with Brock Lesnar following The Beast’s return at SummerSlam 2025.
