John Cena Teases Potential WWE 2K23 Spoiler In Unique Way
John Cena has hinted that he is set to be unveiled as the cover star for the 2k23, the latest in the WWE 2k game series.
Playing on his famous “You Can’t See Me” catchphrase, Cena shared an image on social media of a blank 2k23 cover, leading fans to speculate not only if they will in fact be able to see him on the front of the game but also stepping back inside the ring to compete.
The latest cover is set to be announced around the Royal Rumble, which takes place Saturday 28th January in San Antonio, Texas. Further details on the game’s release date can be found here. As covered in that story, Cena is rumored to be on the WWE 2K23.
John Cena teamed up with Kevin Owens to beat Sami Zayn and WWE Universal Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns on the final Smackdown of 2022.
After losing to Reigns at Summerslam 2021, John Cena cut a promo suggesting that a rematch would be on the cards. However, in recent months, WWE has teased the possibility of Cena facing off with Austin Theory at Wrestlemania 39.
The current United States Champion had goaded Cena on social media, which was followed up with both backstage and in-ring interactions between the pair on Raw last year.
Despite not releasing a game in 2021, the 2k game series has placed Roman Reigns, Becky Lynch, Rey Mysterio, and Seth Rollins on the cover in recent years, with additional options to pre-order for exclusive content such as being able to play as alternate versions of legends.
