John Cena Competes In Tag Team Match On WWE Raw
The Raw after WrestleMania 40 featured a surprising appearance from John Cena, who competed in his first match of 2024.
For the first time since losing to Solo Sikoa at WWE Crown Jewel last November, John Cena stepped back in the ring on Raw after WrestleMania from Philadelphia.
During a promo segment on Raw, The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest celebrated his World Title win at WrestleMania 40 while Rhea Ripley celebrated her Women’s World Title retention at WrestleMania 40 as well. R-Truth decided to celebrate as well since he is a Raw Tag Team Champion with The Miz.
Finn Balor of The Judgment Day wanted The Awesome Truth’s The Miz & R-Truth to put the Raw Tag Team Titles on the line on Raw. Truth said that we can’t because there were only three of them. Miz told Truth he hoped that Truth was talking about a real person and not Little Jimmy. Truth told them they can have six man tag team match with Judgment Day against Miz, Truth and the guy you can’t see. Truth said they can have a six-man tag team match with Judgment Day against Miz, Truth and the guy you can’t see.
This led to The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor, Dominik Mysterio & JD McDonagh facing The Awesome Truth in a 3-on-2 Handicap Match. However, John Cena made his entrance to a huge ovation and tagged in with his signature offense. Cena did the shoulder tackles to JD, the spinning slam and the Attitude Adjustment while Miz & Truth did the same moves at the same time.
The trio of Cena, Miz & Truth all pinned their three opponents at the same time to get the win. Cena and McDonagh were the two legal men in the match.

While appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Cena gave some insight into his thought process.
“Yeah, so when that when that time is gone, that means that it’s done. I’m actively trying to craft that path right now. So I’ve put a line in the sand of myself for 50 and I honestly think it’s going to be before that. There’s your breaking news. I’ll be 47 In a few weeks.”
