John Cena Sells His Soul To The Rock As Cody Rhodes Bleeds

The Rock wanted Cody Rhodes’ soul but John Cena already sold out as the WWE Champion was left bleeding at Elimination Chamber.

The Rock appeared on the February 21 edition of SmackDown where he confronted Rhodes. Speaking about the doors he could open for Rhodes and touting his relationship with TKO boss Ari Emanuel, The Rock spoke as if he was every bit The Final Boss.

Cody Rhodes was in the ring with Michael Cole on the February 28 edition of SmackDown when Cole revealed he was being told that a gift was on hand for Rhodes. A truck covered in Rhodes’ name and logo was driven out before a video of The Rock played on the big screen.

The Rock was behind the gift but he also had another for Rhodes as he revealed a weight belt emblazoned with the words “Cody’s Soul” and the date “June 11th 2015.” As The Rock explained that date is significant to Cody Rhodes as it is the date that his WWE Hall of Famer father Dusty Rhodes sadly passed away.

If you didn’t believe The Rock was beloved worldwide then he and WWE were ready to tell you with a long video package touting his life outside the ring before he came face to face with Cody Rhodes and Rhodes certainly wasn’t feeling the love.

Cody Rhodes Answers The Rock & John Cena Attacks

At Elimination Chamber: Toronto, John Cena won the Elimination Chamber to claim his WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 41. Cody Rhodes immediately made his way to the ring and shared a handshake with his challenger but then the party was over as it was time for The Rock to get his answer.

The Final Boss made his way to the ring with rap star Travis Scott with absolutely no explanation whatsoever and he wanted an answer from Cody Rhodes.

Rhodes told The Rock he wanted it all and that his soul no longer belonged to him because he gave his soul to the ring and the people a long time ago before he told The Rock in no uncertain terms and uncensored on the broadcast “Go f*ck yourself.”

But the fix was in.

In one of the most genuinely shocking moments in WWE history, John Cena embraced Rhodes one more time when The Rock gave his old rival the signal to finish it off. Cena then hit Rhodes below the belt and used a Rolex to take out Rhodes as in his final year Cena finally turned heel.

Rhodes was busted wide open as John Cena nailed the champion with his own title belt multiple times. Cena then choked Rhodes with his own tie before he and Travis Scott held down the champion so The Rock could whip him with the weight belt he previously showed off on SmackDown.
