John Cena Pitched For Embarrassing Defeat At WWE Survivor Series
John Cena has two more matches left in his final days. He will have a match at Survivor Series and then his final match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th, 2025.
The final opponent is being decided via a ‘The Last Time Is Now’ tournament where superstars across RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and maybe pro-wrestlers from beyond WWE will participate. The last man standing will face The Last Real Champion in his final match.
While the tournament decides the final opponent, John Cena has one final championship opportunity.
John Cena loses to pass the torch to a young guy
It is being suggested that The Champ will face Dominik Mysterio for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series. If he wins, he finally becomes a Grand Slam Champion. However, with Rey Mysterio’s return, those plans might go up in smoke.
However, Sam Roberts from Notsam Wrestling believes that Cena should face Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Championship, but should definitely lose the match so he can pass the torch to a younger guy.
There’s two matches that I absolutely want to see in John Cena’s final four. His final two appearances that I want to see are John Cena versus Dominik Mysterio at Survivor Series in San Diego for the Intercontinental title, with John Cena losing to Dominik Mysterio. And that’s the opportunity that you’re looking for, right? He passed the torch to Cody as the next guy. So, who’s the young guy that he’s going to give a rub to? Dominik Mysterio. When Dominik is able to defeat John Cena at Survivor Series.
For his final match, reports have suggested that WWE is considering Gunther to be the one who retires Cena.
