John Cena Comments On Shocking Money In The Bank Appearance

John Cena has commented on his surprising appearance at WWE Money in the Bank which saw him tease a possible WrestleMania event in England.

The phrase “anything can happen in WWE” has been uttered many times by the company that loves providing surprises for their fans.

At Money in the Bank in London, England, most fans likely didn’t think that John Cena was going to show up randomly to cut a promo. That’s exactly what happened as Cena spoke about how incredible the fans in England are.

John Cena would go on to speak about how he thinks England should get to host WrestleMania soon. We know Philadelphia will host WrestleMania 40 in April 2024, but after that perhaps WWE will consider running WrestleMania in England at Wembley Stadium at some point this decade.

Grayson Waller from Smackdown interrupted Cena’s promo by ripping on England while putting over his own home country, Australia. Waller claimed he could help Cena save his career. Waller pitched his “Grayson Waller Effect” talk show with Cena as the guest at WrestleMania Australia. Cena passed on that. Waller claimed nobody says no to him.

While Waller was frustrated by Cena’s presence, Cena said that he was trying to have the fans tell the world why WrestleMania should be in London. Waller hit Cena in the back with a forearm. Waller celebrated that, Cena got right back up and hit the Attitude Adjustment. The fans loved that and Cena left.

On Sunday morning, John Cena tweeted about his surprise appearance at Money in the Bank.

I’m simply unable to express the love and gratitude I have for last nights audience. Thank you to my @WWE family for always welcoming back home. Thank you London for the opportunity to be part of a truly unforgettable evening. WrestleMania (Great Britain flag) Never say never.

The appearance by Cena was apparently just a one-off thing that he wanted to do for the fans in England.
