John Cena May Lose To R-Truth If One Thing Happens On WWE SmackDown
With each appearance John Cena makes, his remaining dates decline, but his roster of rivals expands.
On last week’s SmackDown, the Undisputed WWE Champion was met in the ring by Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and LA Knight.
As he left the ring, he was attacked by R-Truth.
Later in the night, CM Punk, his upcoming opponent at Night of Champions, confronted him before Truth attacked him again.
Not to forget, Money in the Bank winner Seth Rollins is lurking in the shadows and can strike any day, if he pleases, despite Cena saying he won’t.
The 17-time world champion has been a fantastic heel and has ruffled many feathers, as a despised figure in WWE should.
Before facing Punk, the leader of the Cenation will face Truth in a return match on next week’s SmackDown.
Discussing this match on his NotSam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts said Cena losing was possible.
Even if John Cena’s able to win, and maybe he won’t…is there a world where maybe Randy Orton, maybe Cody Rhodes, maybe CM Punk, maybe LA Knight, maybe any of those enemies John Cena has made cost John Cena this match? Is there a world where R-Truth pins John Cena? Look, it’d be good for the Ron Killings character, that’s for sure. [45:13 onwards]
John Cena Must Face LA Knight Before Retiring
In 2023, Cena and LA Knight were involved in a storyline, both as babyfaces.
Knight was feuding with Solo Sikoa’s The Bloodline, with Cena offering a much-needed assist, thus forming an enviable alliance.
While The Megastar did not recall the ‘good times’ during his verbal assault on the champion last week, Sam Roberts believes WWE should weave it into an angle.
The last time John Cena was here, the last run John Cena had before this final run, LA Knight was a big part of it, and I think that should come up at some point in the future.
Members of the WWE Universe believe that LA Knight has been denied opportunities of late.
In the last couple of months, Knight has lost the US Championship, failed to capture the Money in the Bank briefcase, and lost the King of the Ring Tournament first-round match.
