John Cena Looks To Break Unwanted Streak At WWE Fastlane
John Cena has not got the result he wanted at recent WWE Premium Live Events.
There was a time when a Cena win was almost an inevitability, as the Superstar who never gives up frequently defied the most insurmountable odds to have his hand raised at the end of the match. However, as seen in recent matches on the big shows, the 16-time World Champion has been looking up at the lights on multiple occasions.
To the shock of some fans, Cena has not won a match on a PLE since 2018, when Cena teamed with Bobby Lashley to defeat Elias and Kevin Owens at Super ShowDown 2018 in Australia. Since then, the Hollywood star has only won matches on TV and live events. In 2020, Cena lost to Bray Wyatt in The Firefly Funhouse match at WrestleMania 36, lost to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam 2021 and lost to Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39.
With Big Match John’s next big match taking place at Fastlane, Cena will be hoping that he can break the curse that has followed him around for 5 years.
Who Is John Cena Facing At WWE Fastlane?
Firmly a target on The Bloodline’s radar, Cena will team with LA Knight to face Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. Prior to Knight returning on the September 29th broadcast, Cena was prepared to go it alone against The Bloodline.
Still finding ways to make history 21 years after he debuted on the main roster, Cena has also been announced to be making an appearance on an upcoming episode of NXT.
