John Cena Kicked 2-Time WWE Champion Out Of Locker Room
A two-time WWE champion has revealed a shocking John Cena story.
David Otunga joined the Stamford-based company in 2008. For the following two years, he learned the ins and outs of the business in WWE’s then-developmental territory, FCW.
In a recent video on his YouTube channel, the two-time Tag Team Champion opened up about his interactions with John Cena. He recalled their first encounter when he was asked to be present at a WWE show while he was still training in FCW. His then-fiancée, Jennifer Hudson, was also set to attend.
David Otunga Had A Negative First Encounter With John Cena
The former Nexus member recalled going to the ring and training with the extras before the show. As he was returning backstage, he bumped into Ezekiel Jackson, whom he knew from FCW.
Jackson shockingly told Otunga that John Cena had kicked him out of the locker room.
Now, I’m headed backstage, and as soon as I get backstage, my good friend Ezekiel Jackson comes up to me. I know him from ECW and he’s just been on the road for a little bit. He’s new up on the main roster, but he comes over to talk to me, puts his arm around me and he’s like, ‘Otunga, da*n, Cena sent me over here to tell you you got kicked out of the locker room.’ I’m like, ‘Wait, what?’ ‘Yeah, Cena found your bag in the locker room and told me to tell you you got kicked out. [7:38 onwards]
Jackson then informed a surprised Otunga that he had moved his bags to the extras locker room. The former two-time Tag Team Champion disclosed that he was extremely surprised by Cena’s actions and had many unanswered questions at the time.
