John Cena Set To Face Huge WWE Star At WrestleMania 41

John Cena

A major name could share the ring with John Cena at WrestleMania.

In December 2025, John Cena will finally call time on his in-ring career after a year-long retirement tour. This will see the veteran wrestle at huge events such as the Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania for the final time.

Despite the spectacular being several months away, rumours have been running wild regarding Cena’s potential opponent. This has included claims Cena could challenge for the World Title or even face Logan Paul, although talk of the latter has been firmly dismissed.

The most recent report on the subject noted that John Cena vs. Logan Paul “100% won’t be happening.”

Regarding some rumors, there probably were talks of Cena vs. Logan Paul at Mania and Logan Paul did ask for it, but we’re told it’s 100 percent not happening.

John Cena To Get World Title Shot

With a match against Logan Paul well and truly off the cards, it’s been reported by Mike Johnson of PWInsider that Cena could get a final shot at the World Championship. According to Johnson, this could see the veteran challenge Cody Rhodes at the event.

The report noted that the match has been “mentioned by several sources” although those same sources added that everything is subject to change especially if as one person joked “The Rock descends down from “Mountain Rock.””

If The Rock wants to face either Cena or Rhodes, creative would be changed to “fit into his vision.”

Meanwhile, it’s been reported elsewhere that CM Punk could face Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, with the former said to be in favour of the bout.
