John Cena Hints His Time Is Almost Up

Austin Theory John Cena

John Cena might be winding down his WWE commitments but he has at least one more big fight left in him after reluctantly accepting a challenge on Monday Night Raw.

On Raw in Boston, Cena appeared to a rapturous reception but before he could get started he was interrupted by Theory. Theory initially lauded Cena and his achievements noting that he was his childhood hero before offering John Cena a present – a match at WrestleMania 39.

To the surprise of many, John Cena initially turned down the offer noting that Theory hadn’t earned the right to ask before questioning the young star’s heart.

After Theory made fun of Cena’s bald spot, Cena cut to the core of the matter as he noted he’d rather go bald than have WWE pipe in crowd noise because no one cares about them.

After consulting with the fans who were unanimous in their view, Cena finally accepted the challenge meaning he will now face Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39.

Taking to social media, John Cena commented on his return to the TD Garden in Boston and noted that he is starting to contemplate entering arenas for what might be the final time:

Last night was the first time I entered the arena and had the thought that it might be the last time. I’ll never be able to put into words how much I love the #WWEUniverse

John Cena had a visitor backstage at Raw with Vince McMahon said to be at the show principally to visit the star, although he could have also been dying to show off his new Gomez Addams mustache.
