John Cena Discusses Potential Backstage WWE Role

John Cena you cant see me

John Cena is determined to stay involved with the wrestling business.

It’s no secret that John Cena is nearing the end of his WWE career. The star hasn’t wrestled full-time in several years and has been open about the fact that physically he’s unable to perform as he’d like.

However, as his wrestling career has wound down, his star in Hollywood has continued to rise and he’s now one most well-known movie stars in the world. So naturally many expect him to continue down that path when he does eventually retire. But Cena isn’t ready for a clean break just yet.

While appearing on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Cena was asked about potentially following Triple H’s footsteps and becoming an executive. The 16-time World Champion was quick to dismiss the idea but did reveal that he wants to stay involved with the industry.

“I live very close to the Performance Center and I would like to go in as a guest. That way, I’m not obligated and they’re not obligated in any way.

It’s stuff I do on my free time anyway, I love going in just picking people’s brains, having conversations about like, ‘So who are you?’ They’re like, ‘What does that have to do anything?’ ‘Oh, only everything. Let’s talk.’

I enjoy that, doing half a day there and then going back to normal life. I’m fortunate enough to have some other stuff going on so I’ll be focusing on that too. But, I always want to be involved in the business.

I get so passionate about it and it’s something that I love and I think I have a few pieces of wisdom that need to be passed on and I don’t think they should die with me. So I’ll try to do that the best I can.

John Cena Makes Candid Admission

During the conversation, John Cena also admitted he’d been something of a hypocrite based on comments made earlier in his career. Cena recalled blasting The Rock for staying in Hollywood despite claiming to love WWE, only to follow the same path several years later.
