Joe Hendry Makes Unique NXT Heatwave Appearance
Somebody, somewhere must have said his name as TNA star Joe Hendry made an interesting appearance at WWE NXT Heatwave.
On the June 18th episode of NXT, TNA star Joe Hendry made his long-awaited debut with WWE’s third brand.
The show began with a huge cross-promotional Battle Royal to determine a new number-one contender for the NXT Championship. With 23 competitors in the ring, Hendry was introduced to a huge ovation, telling fans he was going to take the title back to TNA.
However, Hendry was quickly eliminated by another TNA star and the man who defeated Hendry at Against All Odds, Frankie Kazarian. The fans chanted bullsh*t in response and in a video released by WWE later on, Hendry confronted Shawn Michaels and warned he could turn up on any show at any time.
Joe Hendry Ends NXT Heatwave
At NXT Heatwave in Toronto, Ethan Page captured the NXT Championship in heartbreaking fashion from Trick Williams after a hard-fought fatal four-way match.
As Ethan Page celebrated with his gold in the ring, Joe Hendry’s now famous turn and smile filled the screen as NXT Heatwave went off the air.

When Joe Hendry next gets in the ring for WWE remains to be seen but he’ll have to be focused on his day job as the Scottish star will be part of a six way elimination match for the TNA World Championship at Slammiversary on July 20th. Moose will put his title on the line against Hendry, Frankie Kazarian, Nic Nemeth, Josh Alexander, and Steve Maclin in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
