Jim Ross Provides Update On Jerry Lawler’s Health
AEW announcer Jim Ross has given the latest insight into the health of his longtime broadcast partner Jerry Lawler, who suffered a stroke.
It was reported that Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler had been hospitalized following a medical episode on 6th February 2023. At the time the report from Pro Wrestling Insider didn’t give details of what took place at the time but confirmed that he had been to lunch with friends before the incident and that he had been rushed to hospital for treatment.
A further report from Action News 5 in Memphis, Tennessee has confirmed that Lawler suffered a stroke yesterday and was taken to hospital for emergency surgery. It all stated that the 73-year-old is now recovering in hospital.
For years Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler provided the soundtrack for all the action on WWE Monday Night Raw and Ross took to social media to confirm that he has spoken to his friend and fellow WWE Hall of Famer:
“I spoke very briefly with @JerryLawler tonight. He’s obviously weak but I could understand his affected speech. Jerry’s prognosis is positive but he needs all our thoughts and prayers. #LoveYaKing”
