Jim Ross Gives Latest On Jerry Lawler’s Health

AEW announcer Jim Ross has given a new update on the health of his longtime broadcast partner Jerry Lawler, who recently suffered a stroke.

It was reported that Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler had been hospitalized following a medical episode on 6th February 2023. At the time the report from Pro Wrestling Insider didn’t give details of what took place at the time but confirmed that he had been to lunch with friends before the incident and that he had been rushed to hospital for treatment.

A further report from Action News 5 in Memphis, Tennessee has confirmed that Lawler suffered a stroke and was taken to hospital for emergency surgery.

Since then The King has been recovering and now Jim Ross has given the latest on his condition. Taking to social media, Ross noted that Lawler will undergo another procedure to help his recovery:

“Had a great one hour convo today with ⁦@JerryLawlerwho’s recovering from the affects of a stroke. Jerry’s voice seem to get stronger the longer we spoke. The King will undergo a procedure next week to help his situation.”

Jerry Lawler appeared on WWE programming as recently as January, as he was part of the panel for the Royal Rumble 2023 kickoff show. Lawler appeared again at the WWE Hall of Fame in a pre-taped video to honor inductee Andy Kaufman.
