Jim Ross Still Under AEW Contract

Jim Ross has been with AEW since 2019, but he’s faced several serious health problems in recent years, including a bout of skin cancer.

After signing this latest contract with the company, Ross admitted it would likely be his last as a commentator, although he did leave the door open to continue given his reduced schedule. On an episode of his podcast back in December, Ross confirmed that his contract runs until August 2025 while suggesting he could continue working beyond that.

After signing his most recent contract in early 2024, JR has been working a lighter schedule, which sees him at the announce desk for the biggest matches at AEW PPVs and occasionally in pre-taped sit-down interviews with talent.

Everyone at TJR Wrestling would like to send their best wishes to Jim Ross and his family.
