Jim Cornette Critical Of AEW Star’s Matches

Jim Cornette hasn’t actually been inside a wrestling ring doing anything physical in years if not decades, but he still thinks that, in his current physical state, he could to a better job than one of AEW’s longest-tenured stars.

Jim Cornette has long been a critic of the modern wrestling landscape. His rants, comments, criticisms, and uniquely-worded insults resonate with many within the wrestling fandom; so much so that if one were to search “Jim Cornette” on YouTube then thousands of results would show up.

Jim Cornette appears to have developed a particularly strong dislike for AEW’s product due to certain wrestlers and issues with the company’s management and direction. While much of his ire and wordsmithing has been directed towards The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, and other indy wrestlers from PWG, he recently took aim at another wrestler, Preston Vance, on an episode of his Experience podcast.

“Preston Vance is embarrassing. Is that a student of QT’s? Well, in that case then there’s a good reason to fire QT Marshall. If I was Tony Khan, I’d hire QT’s parents so I could fire ’em for having him that led to that.

This guy has just admitted that he has been in and or around the wrestling business for eight f***ing years, and right now at almost 62 years old with one ACL, another reconstructed, two hernia surgeries, a bad neck, a bad shoulder, a bad back, a bad hip, and a f***ing bunion, I can work better than Preston Vance.

I will f***ing prove that. If Preston Vance wants to challenge me, I’ll go three minutes with anybody and do a better three minutes than f***ing him. I’m just saying, for three minutes I could f***ing have a better match than Preston Vance as I sit here right now.”

Preston Vance mostly wrestles on Rampage and on ROH shows as he is a member of LA Faccion Ignobernable alongside such wrestlers as Dralistico and Rush.
