Jey Uso & Sami Zayn Reunite On WWE Raw
Jey Uso and Sami Zayn enjoyed a heartfelt reunion on Monday Night Raw.
Sami Zayn and Jey Uso have a long and complicated history that dates back to Zayn’s early days of trying to ingratiate himself with Roman Reigns. One by one, the members of The Bloodline accepted Zayn into their family but Jey Uso remained reluctant to welcome him with open arms.
However, at The Trial of Sami Zayn in late 2022, with Roman Reigns on the verge of kicking Zayn out of his group, it was Uso who spoke up in Zayn’s defence, keeping him with the group. However, just weeks later at the 2023 Royal Rumble, Sami Zayn slammed a chair into the back of Reigns, signalling that he was done with the group.
Jey Uso seemed conflicted until he turned on Sami Zayn as well with The Usos going on to face Zayn and Kevin Owens in the main event of WrestleMania 39. It was that loss for The Usos that kickstarted them leaving The Bloodline with Roman Reigns seemingly very unhappy with that defeat.
Eventually, Jey turned his back on Reigns as did Jimmy Uso but it was Jey who challenged Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship in the main event of SummerSlam. Shockingly, he was cost the title by his twin brother and the conflict proved too much with Jey walking out of WWE altogether.
At Payback, Cody Rhodes – who was on the wrong end of The Bloodline at WrestleMania 39 – announced he’d cashed in a favour and brought Jey Uso to Monday Night Raw.
Jey Uso comes face-to-face with Sami Zayn
Now a singles star, ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso made his return to Raw in Charlotte, North Carolina and it wasn’t long until he was confronted by Sami Zayn. Zayn noted some people won’t be pleased that he’s on the show but he wanted to be the first to greet Jey and tell him he was happy to have him on Raw. Zayn told Uso he was proud of him for choosing to stand on his own two feet before offering a handshake. Uso refused but then told Zayn that “wasn’t very Ucey” of him before embracing Zayn with a hug.
