Jey Uso Booking Slammed By WWE Hall Of Famer
Jey Uso might be near the main event of Monday Night Raw most weeks and could be set for a burgeoning relationship with Rhea Ripley but one WWE Hall of Famer is not happy.
Jey Uso found himself in the middle of Judgment Day business when he wondered if Rhea Ripley might be available following her return to WWE and her very public issues with Dominik Mysterio.
Rhea Ripley poured fuel on the fire when she gave an intriguing response to questions about Uso and Mysterio did not let that go unnoticed.
On Raw in Green Bay, Mysterio questioned his ‘Mami’ but she firmly set him straight saying she was just messing around unlike what Mysterio had been getting up to with Liv Morgan in recent weeks.
Jey Uso teamed up with Sami Zayn to defeat the World Tag Team Champions Finn Balor and JD McDonagh in the main event of the show but with SummerSlam on the horizon, one WWE Hall of Famer is very upset with the company’s handling of Uso.
Rikishi Berates WWE Over Jey Uso
Speaking on his Rikishi Off The Top podcast, Jey Uso’s father Rikishi questioned if WWE’s writers were trying to break his marriage up given his desire for Ripley and said he doesn’t want to see his son involved in any tonsil tennis on the show:
I have hair on the back of my neck (standing up) every time I watch him. SummerSlam, where is he? ‘I don’t know, let’s write him in, he likes Mami.’ That’s the best the writer’s got? ‘Let’s write him into a relationship with Mami’, what y’all trying to do, break his marriage up?
You can’t put him into a good storyline so what you gonna do now? God forbid you guys try to tell them to tongue kiss each other on WWE Raw. S**t that better not happen.
Jey Uso is not currently scheduled for a match at SummerSlam but he could grow even closer to Rhea Ripley if Dominik Mysterio double-crosses her on August 3rd and helps Liv Morgan retain her Women’s World Championship.
