Jeff Jarrett Reveals If Sable Was Close To Working For TNA

Jeff Jarrett cleared the air on questions about Rena “Sable” Mero possibly working for TNA during the 2000s.

Many fans may remember Sable from her time in WWE during the late 1990s and early 2000s. She didn’t do much wrestling but she was involved in many other skits and segments.

Her work in WWE made her a massive ratings and merchandise draw. She had immense sex appeal and is still considered one of the many reasons behind WWE’s success during the Attitude Era.

However, Sable left WWE on a sour note. She left WWE in 1999 after suing the company for $110 million over alleged sexual harassment. She returned a few years later but by that point the storylines presented to her didn’t really work and didn’t make the most out of her appeal.

After leaving WWE again in 2004, Sable married Brock Lesnar. And aside from accompanying him for a few wrestling matches in Japan and the odd MMA fight, she hasn’t been seen or mentioned in a wrestling capacity recently.

And yet, some curious fans wondered if there was ever the possibility of Sable working for WWE’s competition, which at one point was TNA/IMPACT wrestling.

This curiosity reached Jeff Jarrett, who answered questions about Sable working for TNA on his My World podcast.

“My best recollection, Russo and her had their existing relationship from WWF days. It was Vince and her talking. The old conversation, ‘What if?, Are you available? Would you be interested?’ But,that’s as far as it ever got.”
