Jade Cargill WWE Creative Plans Considered “High Priority”
A new report sheds light on plans for Jade Cargill once she makes the move to WWE.
After being absent since her loss to Kris Statlander at Double or Nothing, Jade Cargill made her return to AEW on the September 9th episode of Collision, attacking Statlander and setting up a rematch for the TBS Championship.
Cargill’s return was short-lived, however. After a highly praised match with Statlander for the September 15th episode of Rampage, she reportedly hugged many people backstage as she said farewell to All Elite Wrestling. It was later reported that her contract with AEW has indeed expired, and she’s WWE-bound imminently. Cargill is reportedly set for a major push, and a new report provides more details on plans for the star.
WWE Working On Main Roster Creative For Jade Cargill
Writing in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that creative plans for Cargill are well underway, and that she’s planned to be a big presence on the main roster. It is unclear at this time whether she’ll go to NXT first.
“Jade Cargill is expected to start here on the main roster. Whether she has a short stint in NXT first is unknown but everything we’ve been told is that they’ve been working on is main roster creative for her. She has the look and they like real athletes with size so she fits what they are looking for. The creative is said to be a high priority thing, so the idea at this point is to give her a significant role and push.
AEW took her off their roster and she was in Orlando on 9/18. Tony Khan was on the Superstar Crossover podcast and couldn’t confirm anything but also didn’t deny anything, but he never talks about personnel. As noted last week, when it came to AEW, the sides were apart on money.”
