Jade Cargill Lays Out Goals For WWE Women’s Title Reign
Jade Cargill is focused on building a legacy.
At Saturday Night’s Main Event on November 1, Jade Cargill snatched the Women’s Championship away from long-reigning champion Tiffany Stratton.
On the special, Cargill smashed her way through Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton in a little over five minutes. The violent and crushing conclusion came after two huge Powerbombs and a Jaded, leaving Stratton’s 302-day reign in the dust.
Cargill signed with WWE in September 2023 and went on to win the Women’s Tag Team Championship twice alongside Bianca Belair.
Jade Cargill Is Just Getting Started
During an appearance on the Rob Brown Show, Cargill proudly showed off her new title. After reflecting on the biggest win of her career to date, the star said that her aim is now to elevate the title and the entire women’s division.
“I’m just starting, but I’ve always had ‘Champ’ written across my forehead and body. That’s what I am. That’s what I do. It feels astonishing. I’m here to raise the stakes. I’m here to elevate this title. That’s what I plan to do. That’s what I’m going to do.
I don’t want to carry my baby in a backpack. I don’t want her suffocating. This is my child. This is legacy. This is going to do nothing but elevate the women’s division and the women’s locker room. I’m not hiding her. Why would I do that?”
Cargill is set to make her first appearance on the November 7 episode of SmackDown. The show will also feature an appearance from Cody Rhodes, who defeated Drew McIntyre to retain the Undisputed WWE Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
The likes of Ilja Dragunov, Charlotte Flair, Giulia, and Rey Fenix will also be in action.
