Jade Cargill Issues Bold Response To Triple H’s Statement
Wrestling fans were not ready for ‘The Storm’ that hit them on the latest SmackDown episode.
On the show, WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton faced Kiana James in a singles match. Stratton was coming into the bout following her first loss of 2025, which she suffered to Stephanie Vaquer at Crown Jewel.
As expected, Stratton beat James, but not before being on the defensive for most of the match.
While celebrating her win, Women’s United States Champion and James’ client, Giulia, attacked Stratton. This prompted Jade Cargill to come out for the save.
Cargill eliminated the threat from Giulia and Kiana James and celebrated with Stratton.
However, she immediately clotheslined the 26-year-old world champion and continued to assault her outside the ring. To end it, Jade Cargill stomped on Stratton’s knee, leaving her bellowing in agony.
The fans in Tempe, Arizona, did not take kindly to the attack and booed Cargill.
Jade Cargill’s actions came as a greater shock because there was a mutual respect between the two wrestlers, with them even teaming up to defeat Nia Jax and Becky Lynch on August 22.

Jade Cargill’s vicious attack on Tiffany Stratton earned the 33-year-old star another opportunity at the WWE Women’s Championship.

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H shared an update about their upcoming match on X, calling both wrestlers incredible, but also stating that only one will win.
Two incredible athletes… but only one can be WWE Women’s Champion. @tiffstrattonwwe vs. @Jade_Cargill at #SNME.
