Jade Cargill Admits Hollywood Played Into WWE Switch
Having made the transition from AEW to WWE, Jade Cargill has revealed that the lure of the silver screen helped part of her decision.
Whilst wrestling is an industry of badly kept secrets, it seems like the entire world knew that when former TBS Champion Jade Cargill didn’t renew her contract with AEW that she was going to be making the move to WWE. Her return to AEW television had only been brief, having a rematch with Kris Statlander for the title which she lost, before reportedly saying goodbye backstage and then eventually being removed from the roster page on the company’s website.
It was then revealed earlier this week by WWE that she had put pen to paper on a multi-year deal, with plenty of people welcoming her to the company.
Cargill Wants To Use Tools For Hollywood
In a discussion with Marc Raimondi of ESPN, Jade Cargill discussed how the possibility of following many other WWE superstars and eventually swapping wrestling for Hollywood was a lure for her.
Yes, it did. I know that I have that it factor. Call it cocky, call it conceited, call it vain. Just because I know myself, I don’t think that makes me this evil person. There is nothing wrong with knowing yourself and knowing what you bring to the table. I’m sorry that I’m just so blessed with good looks and I work hard. I go hard in the gym and I go hard in the ring. I can’t help that. I want to take these tools, I’m not going to take them for granted, and I’m going to work hard. That was one of the factors that had me led over to this way, yes.
A WWE Hall Of Famer has said that Jade Cargill has “Chyna-esque potential” in WWE.
