Jacob Fatu Will Allegedly Win Major WWE Title At WrestleMania
Jacob Fatu is expected to have a bright future in WWE.
The Samoan Werewolf played a heel since his arrival at the Stamford-based company last year. However, he recently became a babyface after turning on his cousin, Solo Sikoa, and his faction.
The two cousins squared off last Saturday at Night of Champions, where Sikoa ended Fatu’s United States Championship reign with the help of JC Mateo, the returning Tanga Loa, and the debuting Tala Tonga.
While addressing The Samoan Werewolf’s title loss on his Story Time with Dutch Mantell podcast, the wrestling veteran predicted that Fatu would recapture the United States Championship from Sikoa at WrestleMania 42.
I know, and what you said, they switch the belt and they switch it back at WrestleMania against Solo. I can see that. [5:01 onwards]
Solo Sikoa’s Faction Destroyed Jacob Fatu On SmackDown
Last night on SmackDown, Solo Sikoa revealed the new name of his faction, My Family Tree (MFT). Meanwhile, the new United States Champion and his group destroyed The Samoan Werewolf after the 33-year-old and Jimmy Uso defeated JC Mateo and Sikoa in a tag team match in the main event.
After the show went off the air, Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso rushed to the ring to rescue the former United States Champion. It would be interesting to see if they would officially ally with Jacob Fatu in the coming weeks.
Cody Rhodes was recently crowned King of the Ring. He is scheduled to challenge John Cena for the Undisputed WWE Championship at SummerSlam.
