Jacob Fatu Signed With WWE After Hall Of Famer Reached Out

Before signing with WWE, Jacob Fatu was running the show in Major League Wrestling.

He was a top star in the New York promotion, winning multiple titles, including the MLW World Heavyweight Championship.

After a five-year stint with the company, beginning in 2019, he became a free agent in February 2024.

Fatu was initially expected to appear on RAW is XXX, though his contract with MLW prevented it. But better late than never, right?

Jacob Fatu debuted on the June 21, 2024, episode of SmackDown, establishing himself as a member of The Bloodline.

Since then, his journey has been topsy-turvy, during which he won and lost the United States Championship.

During a recent interview on the Cheap Heat podcast, the 35-year-old got candid about a host of topics.

He also discussed receiving a call from Paul Heyman, encouraging him to join the Stamford-based company.

Jacob Fatu Faces Solo Sikoa At SummerSlam

Jacob Fatu’s rivalry with former Bloodline stablemate and leader Solo Sikoa has grown personal in recent weeks.

Fatu lost the United States Championship to Sikoa at WWE Night of Champions due to multiple interferences, including the debut of Talla Tonga.

Since then, it has been a back-and-forth battle between the two forces, with Fatu frequently aligning with Jimmy Uso against Sikoa’s MFT.

Although the numbers game has proven too much for Jacob Fatu.

To prevent outside interference, their match at SummerSlam will be contested inside a Steel Cage.
