IYO SKY Wins On WWE RAW As Tag Team Gold Hunt Continues

The tag team scenario in WWE’s women’s division has been heating up ever since Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair first won the Women’s Tag Team Championships. The duo elevated the title and brought it into mainstream limelight, helping the division grow.

Last week on Monday Night RAW, both Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss and Rhea Ripley, and IYO SKY wished to get their hands on the title, but their main event match was disrupted by the rest of the tag team division.

Alexa faced Kairi Sane last week on SmackDown following the brawl on the red brand, and tonight, it was IYO’s turn to take on Kairi. The two former members of Damage CNTRL put on an amazing show for the fans in the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

IYO SKY earns a major win on WWE RAW

Tensions were high between the two teams following last week’s brawl, and they came to a head every time Asuka intervened in the match. Both Asuka and Rhea were present at ringside, and they got into each other’s faces on multiple occasions.

The two Japanese wrestlers were evenly matched all through as both of them came close to winning the match. IYO almost had the match in the bag before Asuka made her triple from the top turnbuckle. This led to Rhea taking her out in the timekeeper’s area.

This allowed IYO SKY to get back in the match, and she successfully hit the Over the Moonsault on Kairi Sane to win the match and move one step closer towards a match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
