IYO SKY Emotional After Competing Outside WWE

IYO SKY

IYO SKY has broken her silence about her painful and difficult experience as she picked up a win outside of WWE.

IYO SKY has been forced to deal with her fair share of heartbreak in WWE after she was betrayed by the Kabuki Warriors. This led to a huge tag team match at Crown Jewel, where SKY teamed with Rhea Ripley to finally pick up a win over Asuka and Kairi Sane.

Now SKY has returned to her homeland of Japan to compete for Marigold for the first time since 2024. On this occasion, she rolled back the years with her former Stardom rival Mayu Iwatani in their first singles match for seven years.

IYO SKY Delighted By Marigold Experience

IYO SKY picked up the win over Iwatani, and afterwards she took to social media to reflect on the match and what it meant to her (translation by Google):

It was nostalgic, warm, painful, and difficult, but also very satisfying.
It was a match that made me sad to see it end.

I’m so glad I’m doing pro wrestling.

The Marigold Ryogoku Tournament.
The past, present, and future…
Everything shone brilliantly.

Thank you so much!!

See you next time!

After forming a successful team with Rhea Ripley, she might have one eye on the October 27th edition of Raw where Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair will defend their WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Bayley and Lyra Valkyria.
