Interesting AJ Styles Stat Regarding Win/Loss Record

AJ Styles

An interesting statistic has come to light regarding the record of AJ Styles on WWE premium live events and it’s less than phenomenal for Styles.

AJ Styles burst into WWE in early 2016 when he debuted for the company in that year’s Royal Rumble match. Styles had built a name for himself over the years as part of TNA and latterly in New Japan Pro Wrestling where he captured the IWGP Heavyweight Championship twice while leading Bullet Club.

Within 8 months of Styles’ arrival in WWE, he proved exactly why he is The Phenomenal One as he defeated Dean Ambrose to become WWE Champion for the very first time. Less than ten months after losing that title, Styles reclaimed it and this time became one of a select few stars who have held the WWE Championship for over one year in a single reign.

More recently, however, things have not been that successful for the star. Wrestle Ops noted on social media that AJ Styles has now gone over three years since he claimed a singles victory on WWE premium live events (previously known as pay-per-views).

The last time Styles won a singles match on a premium live event was when he successfully defended his United States Championship against Humberto Carrillo at Crown Jewel in 2019.

Since then AJ Styles has lost to the likes of Aleister Black, Edge, and most famously The Undertaker at WrestleMania 36 in singles bouts. Styles found some success in the tag team ranks as he captured the Raw Tag Team Championship with Omos at WrestleMania 37.

AJ Styles will be hoping to correct this statistic when he faces The Judgment Day’s Finn Balor one-on-one at Survivor Series – WarGames.
