Husband Of WWE Hall Of Famer Nikki Garcia Arrested For Domestic Violence

The husband of WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Garcia (Bella) has been arrested for a domestic violence incident.

Nikki Garcia married dancer Artem Chigvintsev in August 2022 after the couple started dating in 2019. Their relationship was featured heavily during the “Total Bellas” reality show that followed Nikki and Brie Bella when they were still under contract to WWE.

Prior to dating Artem, Nikki dated and was engaged to WWE legend John Cena for several years in the 2010s. That relationship was featured heavily on “Total Divas” and “Total Bellas” for many years.

Nikki and Artem welcomed their first child, a son named Matteo, in July 2020.

It was reported by TMZ that “Dancing With The Stars” pro Artem Chingvintsev is in jail in Napa, California. Artem was arrested for domestic battery after being booked into Napa County Jail on Thursday morning.

While the name of Nikki Garcia is never mentioned in the TMZ story as of this writing, the booking code specifically says “Corporal Injury to Spouse” which would suggest that Artem’s arrest is due to an incident involving Nikki.

According to the TMZ story, officers responded to a domestic violence call in the town of Yountville shortly before 10 AM PT on Thursday. There was an arrest made while injuries were involved.

ABC reports that “Artem has been booked on California penal code 273.5(a), which makes it illegal to injure a spouse, cohabitant or fellow parent in an act of domestic violence.” His bail was set at $25,000 as well.

In an Instagram story on Wednesday, Nikki Garcia did note that she was in Napa, California as well.

Nikki Garcia Says WWE Departure Isn’t Forever

While wrestling fans will always think of Nikki Garcia as WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella, the former Women’s Champion and her sister Brie felt it was time to move on when their contracts expired in 2023. After departing WWE, Nikki explained it by saying: “You come to this part of your life where it’s like, ‘let’s go separate ways. It doesn’t mean it’s forever, but we just know that it’s right.’”

Nikki’s sister Brie and her two children appeared at AEW All In this past Sunday at Wembley Stadium to support Brie’s husband Bryan Danielson, who is the new AEW World Champion.
