Why Hulk Hogan’s Ex-Best Friend Didn’t Visit Him In Hospital Despite Heartbreak

Hulk Hogan

The wrestling industry has yet to recover from Hulk Hogan’s passing on July 24.

TMZ Sports broke the news, claiming the Hulkster had died after suffering a cardiac arrest. It also reported that ambulances and medical personnel were at his home in Florida.

Following the official announcement, condolence messages started pouring in from his peers and fans worldwide.

American radio personality Bubba the Love Sponge was the first to report on Hulk Hogan’s deteriorating health over a month ago. However, Hogan’s team dismissed it.

Days before the WWE Hall of Famer’s death, Bubba was again in the news when he said Hogan had lost his ability to speak.

This time, it was Hogan’s former manager, Jimmy Hart, who stepped in to put out the fire.

On the latest Coach & Bro podcast, Vince Russo claimed that Bubba was receiving death threats for talking about Hulk Hogan’s condition in public.

He also mentioned that Bubba wanted to visit his ex-best friend, but was unable to.

I even said to Bubba during this time, Coach, I said…you know they were like brothers. The situation went down with the recording in the bedroom and their relationship was severed. But Bubba still loved the dude.

So, when Bubba is reporting all this and telling me all this, this is a friend that’s getting heartbroken. And I even said to him at one point, I said, “Bubba, if this is as dire as you say it is, F wrestling, F everything else, you need to go down to the hospital and visit. You need to make peace with him. If this is the only chance you’re going to have.”

And he said to me, he goes, “Vince, I’d love to. They would never allow me anywhere near the place.” And he was really, really torn up about it. [3:28 onwards]

Their match was set at SummerSlam 2006, which Hogan won.

According to TMZ, Brook Hogan was by her father’s side during his final moments, and she got to say “I love you.” It also reported her as being at peace despite their tumultuous relationship.
