Hulk Hogan Was Preparing To Launch Real American Freestyle Wrestling
In April 2025, Hulk Hogan expressed his desire to launch Real American Freestyle Wrestling with Eric Bischoff.
The premise of the wrestling league would be unscripted, unlike the case with major sports entertainment promotions in the industry.
Hogan later introduced Izzy Martinez, an accomplished wrestling and UFC coach, as the third man.
Some of the other popular names who jumped on board were former UFC star Ben Askren, Olympian Kennedy Blades, and national champion Zahid Valencia.
With the promotion’s first date announced as August 30, former Olympian and WWE star Kurt Angle was also brought in for commentary duties.
Hulk Hogan called Angle “a living legend,” while claiming he would provide fire and infamy from his seat by the ringside.
Angle, on the other hand, expressed excitement regarding the opportunity owing to his experience in freestyle wrestling.
