Huge Title Match Added To WWE Survivor Series
The card for WWE Survivor Series is beginning to take shape.
Gunther might be the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in history, but the challengers keep on coming.
On the November 6th episode of Raw, WWE held a number one contenders match to determine who would be next up to face the dominant champion. However, the end of the match didn’t go off as planned after Ricochet was “rocked” during the contest.
The scheduled finish would have seen the The Miz pin Bronson Reed, and Ivar pin Ricochet at the same time. This would have set up a match between The Miz and Ivar on November 13th to determine a winner.
But best-laid plans went out the window, as Ricochet kicked out, leaving The Miz to be declared the winner as chaos reigned.
Despite the confusion, it’s now been confirmed that The Miz will take on Gunther for the gold at Survivor Series. Should Miz pick up the win, he’ll tie the record as the most successful Intercontinental Champion of all time with Chris Jericho as each man will have nine reigns.
Ricochet Struggling Following WWE Raw
Following WWE Raw it was reported that Ricochet doesn’t remember most of the match. The high-flying star is now in concussion protocol, although is said to be doing fine.
There is no word on when Ricochet will be cleared to get back in the ring.
