Huge AEW Dream Match Won’t Headline Dynasty
A highly-anticipated AEW match won’t take the headline slot.
On April 21st, at AEW Dynasty, Bryan Danielson and Will Ospreay will meet in the ring for the first time. The pair are widely regarded as two of the finest wrestlers in the world and anticipation for the match is already sky-high.
Despite the air of tension between the rivals on television, Danielson is excited to get in the ring with the Aerial Assassin.
Speaking to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Danielson was full of praise for the British star, describing him as the “evolution of professional wrestling.” The American Dragon added there’s no one in the world who can wrestle a Will Ospreay match other than the man himself.
“If Will Ospreay wanted to do a Bryan Danielson match, he could. If I wanted to do what Will Ospreay does in a match, I couldn’t. I don’t think there is anybody else in the world who can. That makes me super excited for this match.”
Bryan Danielson Vs. Will Ospreay Won’t Headline AEW Dynasty
Despite being a dream match for fans around the world, Danielson claimed it won’t be the headline match for Dynasty.
“Me and Will Ospreay won’t be the main event at Dynasty,” said Danielson. “That tells you what type of show it will be. I have an inkling of some of the things that are lined up, and I think people are going to be really excited.”
Will Ospreay signed with AEW back in November despite major interest from WWE. It’s since been reported that several figures within WWE were disappointed with Triple H’s offer to the star believing it was way too low.
