How TNA Stars Really Feel About WWE Crossover

Kelani Jordan TNA Knockouts Champion

One TNA star has lifted the lid about the backstage atmosphere as the company continues its partnership with WWE.

TNA and WWE have formed a partnership that sees stars from both brands appear on the other’s shows. This meant that then-TNA World Champion Joe Hendry appeared as Randy Orton’s surprise WrestleMania 41 opponent, but most of the action has been confined to NXT.

Several TNA stars expressed their unhappiness at WWE’s perceived control of the promotion, which led to an invasion and then a Showdown pitting NXT and TNA stars against one another.

But backstage, it seems the atmosphere is very different from what fans are seeing on-screen.

TNA & WWE Stars Welcome Each Other With Open Arms

Speaking to WhatCulture Wrestling, Jody Threat gave an insight into the atmosphere backstage and how those in TNA feel about the partnership:

I’m pretty sure we’re all on the same page in saying that it’s a positive thing. I think it’s a great thing, not only are we being able to bring it to a wider audience, sometimes when you are in a locker room, you’re working the same people and we’re now throwing in a bit of spice and I love that.

I love experiencing different varieties of wrestlers. For me personally, I think it’s great. It’s allowing me to grow, it’s allowing me to work with other girls.

It’s allowing different eyes on me and everyone that has come into the Knockouts locker room have been kind, respectful and everyone gets along. You’d think there’d be drama like ‘you’re in my territory,’ absolutely not. We welcome people with open arms and it’s been a beautiful thing in my opinion.
